Centipede Pest Control
Centipedes vs Millipedes
Centipedes and millipedes both belong to the Myriapoda group and are similar in appearance. While it is easy to confuse one of these insects for the other, there are many differences between the two. Centipedes belong to the Class Chilopoda and are flexible in their frame, whereas millipedes belong to Class Diplopoda and have a more rigid build. Millipedes are also distinguishable by their sub cylindrical shape and have an additional leg per body segment. While neither of these insects are particularly known to bite humans, centipedes do on occasion. Although their venom is not typically a threat to humans, it is important to watch children after a centipede bite for safe measure.
